Squidoo is another site just like Hubpages, except with Squidoo their pages are called lenses. Squidoo allows you to insert numerous modules in your lens so that you not only can write or show pictures, but also share videos, promote Amazon products, add polls and quizzes, and much more!

The first way to make money with Squidoo is that Squidoo shares a portion of the site's revenue with its best "Squids." All pages on Squidoo are ranked and each month, Squidoo pays a percentage of their ad revenue to users based upon the lensrank of their lenses. There are three tiers and users get paid a different percentage of the revenue based upon which tier their lenses are in. Tier 1 lenses are lenses with a lens rank of 2,000 or higher. Tier 2 lenses are lenses with a lensrank of 2,001-10,000. Tier 3 lenses are lenses with a lensrank of 10,001-85,000. Tier 1 lenses are paid more than Tier 2 lenses which are paid more than Tier 3 lenses. Tier 4 lenses, ranked 85,001 and lower do not receive any payment, although some high ranked Tier 4 lenses that average near Tier 3 occasionally receive a share of Squidoo's chitika and link ad earnings.

Another way to make money on Squidoo is to share in royalties from products sold through your Squidoo lenses. If you use a profitable module, such as Amazon modules, the eBay module, or the iTunes module and a reader make a purchase from following one of your modules, Squidoo will split the royalty from that sale with you. Promoting products and sharing in the revenue from selling those products is a great way to make money with Squidoo.

InfoBarrel is a site where you make money for writing articles. Each article you write for InfoBarrel will have Google Adsense, Amazon Associates, and Chikita ads on it. You give InfoBarrel your affiliate IDs for these programs and your IDs are inserted into the ads for 75% of your articles' impressions. By writing articles and competing in contests, you can earn points to increase the amount by which your IDs are inserted into the ads to up to 90% of the impressions on your articles. You can also earn money through InfoBarrel by referring other writers. InfoBarrel will insert your ad IDs into 2% of your referrals' impressions.

Contributor Network will review the articles you submit and will pay an upfront payment of $1 to $20 per quality article. Sometimes Yahoo! Contributor Network will also have offers to write articles on a certain topic for a specific, pre-determined upfront payment.

Performance payments are payments based upon the number of views your articles get. Essentially you will be paid $1 to $2 for every 1,000 views your articles get. Triond pays you to write articles without having some of the requirements of other sites (word count, etc..). Triond does require that all content be original and that you include tags and an image with your article.

You can make money writing articles from Triond in three ways: page views, Google Adsense ads, and from referrals. Triond pays writers directly via Paypal for their articles based upon pageviews. The actual algorithm for earnings per page view is not disclosed and it varies based upon the site's income and the articles topic. Triond's minimum payout based upon articles views is 50 cents.

You cannot earn income from Google Adsense or for referrals until you have reached minimum payout. Once you have received your first payout from Triond, you can intergrate your Google Adsense ID into your Triond articles. Your Adsense ID will be inserted into the on Adsense ads on your articles 50% of the time. Triond's Adsense ID will be placed in the ads the other 50% of the time.

Examiner is a site that pays you to write articles based upon article views (typically 0.5-1 cent per page view). Additionally, if you are a neighborhood examiner, you can earn $1 per article (up to 5 articles per week) provided you write at least 2 articles that week that are 200-400 words in length. That's an automatic $260 per year before page views! Examiner is different than other article sites in that you must apply to be a specific examiner and write on a specific niche.
